    BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME Hardness setting This model has a water softener to soften hard water. Please read these notes carefully for correct operation. In order to provide satisfactory rinsing results, the dishwasher requires soft water, i.e., containing little or no lime, otherwise water stains will be left behind on the dishes and interior containers.

The water softener has 8 adjustment levels, and the dishwasher is programmed at the factory for a water hardness level of H00.
