They are thousands of Kenwood radios out there that do not have
Bluetooth and the A2D-KNW updates these radios to support a
wireless Bluetooth audio streaming connection from a Smartphone
or Tablet. Simply plug in this Adapter to the 13-way CD Changer
port on the radio, pair up the Bluetooth Audio device and enjoy the
best sound possible on the car speakers! Connecting the A2D-KNW
requires disconnecting the CD Changer and/or any other Kenwood
accessory.

Remove the Kenwood Radio from the dash to gain access to
the connector
2.
Disconnect any Kenwood accessory connected to the 13-way
DIN connector

Connect the 13-way plug from the adapter to the Radio (See.
Fig. 1)

Secure adapter box with included wire ties and proceed to
next section.

The pairing process varies from Phone to Phone but the basic steps
are the same. This process is done upon initial install and will not
have to be repeated

Turn the Radio "ON"

Press the "SRC" (Source) button Until "DISC" -- "AUX" is
displayed. On newer radios scroll through the "MENU" until
"Built-in Auxiliary Input Setting" is displayed and turn the
feature "ON".
3.
Launch Smartphone streaming application.
4.
Use the radio volume control button to set the playback level.
If distorted, lower the volume on phone or if inaudible, raise
volume on phone.
