Start Here models P2000 and P2X. UNPACKING contact your Printer dealer. NOTE: Save the packing material in case you ever need to repack and move the Printer to another location. OPERATING REQUIREMENTS Before you set up-your Printer, be sure that you have an effrcient work space. You should have a good Printer stand or similar type of table.

Replace the ribbon when print quality becomes faint. Open the top cover. Be sure the canier is positioned at the Center of the Printer. Set the Paper thickness setting lever to the forward position.

Section 1 Start Here 5 RUNNING THE SELF-TEST You tan use the built-in Pinwriter self-test to practice loading tut sheets and printing. The self-test lets you check the printer’s performante and print quality before you connect it to your Computer. Use A4-size Paper or 8 l/Z-inch wide Paper to practice loading and printing.

6 Section 1 Start Here Turn off the power. Hold down FEED/LOAD while turning on the printer power. The self-test begins after a pause of several seconds. When the printer is out of paper and the SELECT light is blinking, insert a sheet of paper.
CONNECTING THE INTERFACE CABLE A parallel interface cable connects the Printer to your Computer. This cable must be cable, contact your Printer dealer or Computer dealer. WARNING: Before connecting the interface cable, turn off both your Printer and Computer. Connect one end of the cable to the Printer. Secure the connector with the clips.

16 Section 3 Control Panel Entering the Memory Switch Menu Mode To enter the memory switch menu mode, follow these steps. Press FEED/LOAD to load the continuous paper into the printer and turn off the printer. Press MODE while turning on the printer. The printer will enter the option setting mode and print out the menu shown in the figure below.

Paper Loading PAPER LOADING FEATURES The P2OOOIP2X offers several Paper loading features. Loads tut sheets automatically. Loads continuous Papers quickly and precisely. The perforation of continuous Papers feeds automatically to the edge of the top cover so that you tan tear off the last sheet. The removable tractor allows you to load continuous Papers from the rear and bottom of the Printer.
