128 - Troubleshooting
Answer
Dropping your handset, getting it wet,
or using a non-Motorola battery
charger can damage the handset.
The handset's limited warranty does
not cover damage caused from using
non-Motorola accessories.
Solution
Report a stolen handset to the police
and to your service provider (the
company that sends your monthly
wireless service bill).
Be sure to press and hold A until the
display appears and you hear an alert
sound (this could take several
seconds). If nothing happens, check
that the battery is charged. See
"Charging the Battery" on page 19.
If you see
or
the ringer is turned off. See "Alert
Mode" on page 29.
Your call did not reach the wireless
system. You may have dialled the
number too soon after turning the
handset on. Wait until the Network
indicator in the status bar shows you
are connected to the network. See
"Network" on page 30.
