Chain Dialing from Memory

Use this feature to make calls which require a sequence of numbers, for instance if you
use a calling card for a frequently called long distance number. Basically, you dial each
part of the sequence from memory. The following example shows how you can use chain
dialing to make a call through a long distance service:
The Number For
Long distance access number
Authorization code
Frequently called long distance number
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Press the DIAL button and then press 7.
3. When you hear the access tone, press the DIAL button and then press 8.
4. At the next access tone, press the DIAL button and then 9.

Message Indicators

The following special messages indicate the status of a message or the unit:
00 CALLS
UNKNOWN CALLER
BLOCKED CALL
ERROR
START OF LIST/
END OF LIST
MEMO
REPT
The call record log is empty.
The incoming call does not have Caller ID service or their service
area is not linked to yours. If UNKNOWN NAME appears along
with a calling number, the name information for that number was
not available.
The caller is registered as "Private Number" and the Caller ID
information is withheld.
Caller information has been interrupted during transmission.
Indicates you are at the beginning or the end of the call record
log.
The message has been recorded as a memo.
Repeat call message. Indicates that a new call from the same
number was received more than once
