Installing the PB1000 in an Existing VoIP Environment
Follow this procedure if the VoIP cable modem is already installed and VoIP phone service is
operational.

Unplug AC power from the SBV4200 or SBV5120 VoIP cable modem by unplugging the AC cord
from the AC wall outlet. Do not reapply AC power until instructed to do so later in this procedure.
It is not necessary to unplug anything else for an existing installation, such as the PC or
telephone connections.

Unplug the installed external power supply from the back of the VoIP cable modem and store it
in a safe place.
