To reset the "SETUP" settings in the
Control Menu of CD/DVD function

Press
DISPLAY when playback is
stopped.
The Control Menu appears.

Press or repeatedly to select
(SETUP), then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
"CUSTOM, " then press ENTER.
The Setup Menu appears.

Press or repeatedly to select
"SYSTEM SETUP, " then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
"RESET, " then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
"YES, " then press ENTER.
The "SETUP" settings are reset
to the default settings except for
"PARENTAL CONTROL" settings
(page 49). Do not press while
resetting. Resetting takes a few
minutes to complete.
Note
"MEDIA, " "INTERVAL" and "EFFECT"
settings also return to the default settings.

Self-diagnosis function
When the self-diagnosis function
is activated to prevent the system
from malfunctioning, a 5-character
service number (e.g. C 13 50) with a
combination of a letter and 4 digits
appears on the screen. In this case, check
the following table.
