Problem
Loud noises are heard
during the descaling

Possible cause and solution
This is not a fault.
These noises occur when water is flushed through
the machine at a high pressure.

Main Water: On
system is not connected to the water supply.
 Fill the water tank.
 Then check the water setting (see "Settings - Main
water").
The Demo mode of the coffee system has been acti-
vated.
 Deactivate the Demo mode (see "Settings - Demo
mode").
The cup or glass is not suited for the sensing mecha-
nism.
 Use cups or glasses that are suitable for automatic
dispenser adjustment.
There is a fault with the automatic dispenser adjust-
ment.
 Turn the machine off with the On / Off  button.
Wait for 2 minutes before turning it back on again.
 Use another drinking vessel and prepare a drink.
 If cup protection switch-off is activated again or
the main dispenser lowers until it touches the top
of the cup or glass again, please contact Miele.
If the cleaning container is sitting too close to the
panel behind the main dispenser, or even touches it,
the rim of the container will not be properly recog-
nized by the automatic dispenser adjustment.
 Move the cleaning container forwards a little.
