LIFEBOOK T580
NOTE 1:
For 80 MHz and 800 MHz the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2:
These guidelines may not apply in all situations. The propagation of electromagnetic variables is
affected by adsorption and reflections of buildings, objects and people.
The compliance levels for ISM frequency bands between 150 kHz and 80 MHz and in the
a
frequency range 80 MHz to 2.5 GHz are used to make it less likely that mobile/portable
communications equipment can generate interference if it is inadvertently brought into the close
proximity of patients. For this reason a factor of 3 is used to calculate the recommended
separation distance for transmitters in these frequency ranges.
Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cellular/cordless)
b
telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM an FM radio broadcast and TV broadcast
cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due
to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be considered. If the measured
field strength in the location in which the device or system is used exceeds the applicable RF
compliance level quoted above, the device or system should be checked to verify normal
operation. If abnormal performance is observed additional measures, such as reorienting or
relocating the device or system, may be necessary.
Above the frequency range from 150 kHz - 80 MHz the field strength should be below 3 V/m.
