Section 3 - Configuration
When inserting a new hard drive into the DNS-323, you can configure it to RAID 1, which will mirror the existing hard
drive. By doing this, the new hard drive must have at least the same storage space as the existing hard drive.
To add a new hard drive and configure it to RAID 1
carry out the following steps:
1.
Turn off the power and insert a new hard drive into
an available drive bay. For more information on
Hardware Setup, refer to page 9.
2.
Turn on the power and log in the web interface.
3.
The page appears in order to configure the new
hard drive.
4.
Select the
Reconfigure to RAID 1 check box.
5.
Click
Next to proceed.
6.
A warning message appears. Click
proceed.
