Know your Rice Cooker
Your Kenwood Rice Cooker is suitable for cooking rice and keeping it warm. Follow these instructions carefully to
ensure safe and enjoyable use of your Kenwood Rice Cooker.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:-
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
3. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
4. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
5. Do not touch hot surfaces.
6. Do not use the appliance on a heat sensitive surface.
7. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the table, counter or touch hot surfaces.
8. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
9. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
10. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
11. The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injury.
Connecting to Power
Before switching on make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the
rating plate.

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN and YELLOW
BLUE
BROWN
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
