FE Lock
4 Compose the picture.

Check that
in the viewfinder. Then,
press the shutter button
completely to take the pic-
ture.
• Each time the FE lock button is
pressed, a preflash is fired to
obtain the correct flash exposure
reading which is then locked for
16 sec.
• FE lock is canceled 16 sec. after
the FE lock symbol (FEL) is dis-
played, or when the Command
Dial is turned.

If the subject is too far away for FE lock to be set successfully,
Move closer to the subject and repeat steps 3 and 4.
