3. Move the cable until the speed control lever contacts
the idle speed screw (Figure 45).
4. Tighten the cable clamp screw and check the engine
RPM setting.
• High Idle: 2800 to 2900 RPM
• Low Idle: 1550 to 1750 RPM
Adjusting the Idle Speed
1. Move the remote throttle control lever to the Slow
position.
2. Loosen the locknut on the idle speed screw
(Figure 45).
3. Adjust the idle speed screw to obtain 1500 RPM.
4. Tighten the locknut.

Fuel Filter/Water Separator
Service Interval: Every 800 hours
Servicing the Filter
1. Close the fuel shut off valve (Figure 46) below the
fuel tank.

2. Clean the area where the filter canister mounts
(Figure 47).
3. Place a drain pan under the fuel filter.
4. Open the filter drain plug and breather valve
(Figure 47).

5. Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the fuel lines
from the top of the filter.
