Changing the Fuel Filter
Canister
Service Interval: Every 400 hours
1. Clean the area where the filter canister mounts
(Figure 63).
2. Remove the filter canister and clean the mounting
surface.
3. Lubricate the gasket on the filter canister with clean
oil.
4. Install the filter canister by hand until the gasket
contacts the mounting surface; then rotate an
additional 1/2 turn.
Bleeding Air from the Injectors
Note: This procedure should be used only if the
fuel system has been purged of air through normal
priming procedures and the engine will not start; refer to
Bleeding the Fuel System.
1. Loosen the pipe connection to the No. 1 nozzle and
holder assembly.

2. Move the throttle to the Fast position.
3. Turn the key in the key switch to the Start position
and watch the fuel flow around the connector. Turn
the key to the Off position when you see a solid flow.
4. Tighten the pipe connector securely.
5. Repeat this procedure on the remaining nozzles.
