en - Warning and safety instructions
~
A damaged PG 8090 Monoblock
water softener can be dangerous.
Switch off at the mains immediately and
call the Miele Service Department or an
authorised Miele Service Dealer.
~
The PG 8090 Monoblock water
softener must only be connected to the
mains electricity supply via a socket
that conforms with local and national
safety regulations.
~
To ensure safety, national and local
Water Authority Regulations (NWC in
the UK/DIN EN 1717 in Germany) must
be complied with when installing this
appliance. When connected to the
water supply an approved backflow
prevention device (Type C) must be
incorporated between the mains water
supply and the water softener
cartridge. The device must be at least
250 mm above the upper edge of the
PG 8090 Monoblock water softener.
Waste water must be discharged in
accordance with national and local
water regulations.
Correct use
~
Please note that when connected to
a hot water supply, the maximum
permitted temperature of 65°C must not
be exceeded.
~
The water in the appliance must not
be used as drinking water.
~
Never clean the PG 8090
Monoblock water softener or near
vicinity with a water hose or a pressure
washer.

While the appliance is under
guarantee, repairs should only be
undertaken by a service technician
authorised by the manufacturer.
Otherwise the guarantee will be
invalidated.
~
This appliance must only be used in
conjunction with machines specified by
Miele as being suitable for such use.
Installation
~
Do not install the Monoblock water
softener with an electrical appliance in
areas where there is a risk of explosion.
~
This appliance may only be used in
mobile installations such as ships, if a
risk assessment of the installation has
been carried out by a suitably qualified
engineer.
Safety with children
~
To avoid the risk of injury, keep
children away from the appliance at all
times. Do not allow them to play with it
or use the controls. They will not
understand the potential dangers
posed by it.
~
Older children may only use this
appliance if its operation has been
clearly explained to them and they are
able to use it safely, recognising the
dangers of misuse. They must be
aware of the potential dangers caused
by incorrect operation.
