ADJUSTING

Settings
to set picture
settings for
the desired
input.
AUTOCOLOR
Auto
Color
displays
a choice
list that lets you turn on the feature
that automatically
corrects
the color
of the picture
when
you are viewing
analog
channels.
This is
especially
useful for tracking
realistic
flesh tone colors
as you switch
from channel
to channel.
Choose
On or Of6 depending
on your preference.
COLOR TEMP

Depending
upon
which
Screen
Format
you
select,
it may be
necessary
to activate
Magic
Focus twice.
If
Magic
Focus is activated
while
in Normal/Full/F~ll
mode,
the convergence
will
be corrected.
However,
you must
again
activate
Magic
Focus when
you select
Smooth
Wide
mode,
to
j correct
convergence.
Color Temp displays
a choice
list that lets you set one of two automatic
color
adjustments:
Cool for a more blue palette
of picture
colors,
and Warm for a more
red palette
of picture
colors.
The warm
setting
corresponds
to the NTSC standard
of
7500°K
and the cool setting
corresponds
to 9300°K.
NOISE REDUCTION
You can turn Noise
Reduction
on or off. When
turned
on, the television
produces
a
cleaner,
smoother
picture
by reducing
picture
"static"
or any type of interference.
This is especially
useful for providing
a cleaner
picture
in weak
analog
signal
conditions,
When
Noise
Reduction
is on, picture
detail
is somewhat
decreased.

While
running
Magic
Focus, you may notice
that flashing
letters
MAGIC
FOCUS
change
to dashes to
Selecting
Magic
FOCUS begins
a process
which
aligns
the blue, green,
and red
indicate
progress.
The
picture
tubes to produce
the best picture
quality.
These tubes may have shifted
Magic
Focus process
since it was manufactured.
If your picture
seems fuzzy or has a yellow
tint, running
takes several
minutes.

Focus could
fix this problem.

THEATRE
Theatre
allows
you to set picture
quality
controls
to a predetermined
setting
suitable
for a theatre-type
environment,
such as a dark room. You may want to turn the
Theatre
option
on when
viewing
movies
because
the color
temperature
of movie
film has a red tint, lower
contrast,
and reduced
sharpness
that live video
does not.
Selecting
theTheatre
option
causes the picture
to approach
the "look"
of an actual
film.
RESETCONTROLS
When
Theatre
is
selected:
l
picture
controls
are
dimmed
for a low light
setting
l
auto color
is turned
on
l
color
temp
is set to
warm
l
noise reduction
is
turned
on
Allows
you to reset all picture
quality
controls
to their original
defaults.
