Connecting to the water inlet

,
The water in the machine is NOT
suitable for drinking.
– The machine must be connected to
the water supply in accordance with
local and national regulations.
– For technical application reasons,
the machine is supplied as standard
for connection to cold water only.
The inlet hoses (water inlet and
steam condenser) must only be
connected to the cold water inlets.
See also "DI water connection" (hose
marked H2O pure).
– High iron content can leave a rust
film on stainless steel items and on
the machine itself. If the chloride
content in the domestic water supply
is above 100mg/l, the risk of
corrosion damage to items is greatly
increased.
– Acceptable water pressure (flow
rate):
10 - 147 psi
– Recommended water pressure (flow
rate):
25 - 60 psi
– If the water pressure is not in the
range listed above, the "Fill/Drain"
indicator may come on and the fault
code "F..E" will appear in the display.
If this occurs, contact the Miele
Technical Service Department for
advice.

– All inlet hoses are approx. 5ft (1.5 m)
long, ending with a 3/4" GHT female
thread. Under no circumstances
should the inlet filters be removed.
– Water valves with 3/4" thread are to
be provided on site. They should be
easily accessible because the water
supply will need to be turned off
when not in use.
– Large surface area filters are
supplied with the machine for
installation between the inlet and the
inlet hose (see illustration under "How
to clean the water inlet filters"). The
large surface area filter for distilled
water is made of stainless steel and
can be recognized by the matte
surface.
,
NEVER attempt to shorten or
otherwise compromise the inlet hose
(see illustration).
See the supplied installation
diagram.
