Important Comment on Digital Mixer System Operation:
If your DM2000 is in a configuration with more than 24 microphone inputs, the
remote microphone inputs are probably connected to the DM2000 with a digital
signal connection; other components may also have digital signal connection
with DM2000. This type of connection usually requires a separate word clock
synchronizing signal. Systems with word clock connections should not be
operated either partially disconnected or with individual units powered off. This
can interrupt the word clock. You may then experience either spurious noises or
distortion at random intervals or the DM2000 may display a word clock error
message.
Yamaha recommends the mixer and all other digitally connected components be
powered on and off together and that you do not make system changes without
qualified assistance. If one of these components must be disconnected for any
reason, the word clock signal integrity must be maintained for continued proper
system operation.
