    Getting started The Nokia digital optical network unit (ONU) mobile application lets you connect your Nokia Smart Home and configure most of the features of your residential gateway (RGW). It also lets you check on the status of your Optical Network Terminal (ONT).

    How to set up a DNS A domain name server (DNS) translates user-friendly website addresses; for example, www .nokia .com, into the registered IP address assigned for that domain . Your computer uses a domain name server to look up the domain name you’re trying to access .

    Once a device is paired (refer to the Pairing section below), it is automatically categorized as an Unassigned or Unsupported device and is displayed on the Smart Home screen . Unassigned devices These are devices supported by the Nokia Smart Home Solution (See the Appendix for a list of supported devices) .
  • Page 49 Pairing 1 . To pair a ZigBee or Z-Wave device with the ONT, click on the green icon at the bottom of the Smart Home screen . The menu expands to show four options [Figure 1] . Figure 1 2 . Click on Pair Devices, then select Z-Wave or ZigBee [Figure 2] .

    To use this web interface, you will need a tablet, laptop or desktop computer . However, the Nokia Smart Home mobile app (instructions are in Chapter 4) has the same functionality as this web interface, except that you cannot automate Scenarios, Rules and Schedules .

Powered by the Nokia Optical Network Terminal (ONT) G-240WZ-A, the Smart Home mobile app lets you control smart sensors, lights, locks, and more to create a Smart Home that simplifies everyday tasks and provides security and comfort .
