    Install a Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) in a DIMM slot on the motherboard. The motherboard is equipped with four slots for installing DIMMs. • Use only DIMM authorized by NEC. If the workstation needs repair resulting from the use of a third party's product, it is repaired at a cost even during the guarantee period.

    If the power cord is connected to UPS, make sure that the UPS is turned on. Press POWER/SLEEP Switch on the front of the workstation. POWER/SLEEP LED on the front of the workstation lights green. In a few seconds, the NEC logo appears on the screen.

    The following describes the progress of POST in order. When the workstation is turned on, POST runs. With the factory settings, the NEC logo appears on the display while POST is in progress. If <Esc> key is pressed, the logo disappears and the details of POST are displayed.

    If POST detects an error, an error message appears on the screen or a beep code sounds. Write down the displayed message before calling your sales representative.
