    After the timeout timer for an Ethernet OAM connection expires, the local OAM entity ages out its connection with the peer OAM entity, causing the OAM connection to be disconnected. HP recommends that you set the connection timeout timer at least five times the handshake packet transmission interval, ensuring the stability of Ethernet OAM connections.
