    Navigation Quick Start The Travel Companion can be used as a GPS navigation system right out of the box. CAUTION: Drive with due care and attention when using the Travel Companion for navigation. Install the battery Use the mini-USB synchronization cable with the power adapter to charge the device. To install the battery: Slide the battery compartment cover to the sides and away from the Travel Companion.

    CAUTION: To avoid damaging the Travel Companion or the AC adapter, make sure all connectors are properly aligned before connecting. The battery provides power for the Travel Companion to operate. Travel Companion comes with a mini-USB synchronization cable, which must be used to charge the device. It takes approximately 2–4 hours to fully charge the battery for the first time.

    To install the Travel Companion: Insert the Travel Companion into the mounted car kit holder (1). Insert the securing clip into the slot on the top of the Travel Companion (2).     Approval of a connection, access, or activity before it can be completed. Bonding (Paired devices) Creating a trusted connection between your HP iPAQ and another device. After a bond is created, the two devices become paired. A paired device does not require authentication or authorization.
