9ch Speaker Configurations
LX801 LX701
With speaker terminals for 9 channels and PRE OUT HEIGHT 2 or
SURR BACK terminals*, various speaker configurations are available
to suit your taste or speaker layout. 7.1.4ch, 5.1.4ch, 7.1.2ch, and
5.1.2ch settings are available for optimum performance when using

[A] 7.2.4ch Surround System (SURR BACK Pre Out)
Connection
Surround back (purple) is output from the PRE OUT SURR
BACK terminals of the receiver. Connect the SURR BACK
terminals to the external amplifier, and connect the extra
amplifier to the surround back speakers.
[C-2] 7.2.2ch Surround System (HEIGHT 2 Pre Out) &
Front Bi-Amp Connection
Top middle (purple) is output from the PRE OUT HEIGHT 2
terminals of the receiver. Connect the HEIGHT 2 terminals to
the external amplifier, and connect the extra amplifier to the
top middle speakers.

[E-1] 7.2ch Surround System Connection
[E-4] 7.2ch Surround System & HDZONE Connection
(Multi Zone)
Dolby Atmos, and these can be used for Dolby-enabled speakers.
6.1.4ch, 4.1.4ch, 6.1.2ch, 4.1.2ch, 3.1.2ch, 2.1.2ch, 6.1ch, 4.1ch, 3.1ch
and 2.1ch settings are also available.
