Deleting Characters

Deleting One Character
To delete one character, move the cursor to the character you
want to delete, and then press R.
Deleting Multiple Characters
Hold down R for at least one second to delete all characters
to the right of the cursor. If there are no characters to the right
of the cursor, all the characters will be deleted.
Operations while Entering Characters
Entering two or more
characters assigned to
the same key
Displaying the characters
assigned to the key in
reverse order
Switching between
uppercase and lowercase
characters
Entering symbols or
pictograms*

Entering line breaks*
*1 Pictograms are not displayed properly on non-au cell phones, personal computers,
and other devices.
*2 Certain functions such as c-mail do not support entering line breaks.

After you enter the first character, press C to move
the cursor to the right, and then enter the next
character.
After pressing the key, press # repeatedly.
Enter the character, and then press *.

Press * repeatedly to display the screen for
selecting symbols or pictograms.

Use E to select the symbol or pictogram you
want to enter, and then press @ (Select).
Press #.
