VIBRATE FUNCTION
With press the Menu key and Up key for (0.5) seconds to appear the Vibrate Icon on the
LCD with BEEP2. The Vibrate function will be operated as follows.
Receiving (After Carrier Detect for (1) second) at the FRS Mode

Vibration for (1) second and stop for (0.5) seconds repeat three times
after then will be in the stand by until next receiving.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Your wireless hand-held portable transceiver contains a low power transmitter. When the Push-to-
Talk (PTT) button is pushed it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. The device is authorized to
operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%. In August 1996, the Federal Communications
Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for hand-held
wireless devices.
CAUTION: To maintain compliance with the FCC's RF exposure guidelines hold the transmitter and
antenna at least 2 inch (5 centimeters) from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the
antenna pointed up and away from the face. If you wear the handset on your body while using the
headset
accessory, use only the Kenwood supplied belt clip for this product and when transmitting, take it
out of the belt to ensure that the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) from your body.
Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage
the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations.
LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
Kenwood Communications Corporation ("KENWOOD") warrants this product for
ninety (90) days on parts and labor, measured from the date of purchase by the first
end user. This Warranty is enforceable only by the first end user.
Except as specified below, this w arranty covers all defects in material and
workmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the Warranty:
1.
Damage, deterioration or failure resulting from:
A. Accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, product modification or failure to follow
Instructions contained in your Owner's Manual.
B. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by KENWOOD.
C. Installation of parts that do not conform to the quality or specifications of the
original parts.
