Automatic
Level Control
(ALC) recording
The ALC circuit adjusts the recording input level automati-
cally. No adjustments
are required.
RECORDING
FROM THE BUILT-IN
RADIO
1.
Press the STOP/EJECT
button and insert a cassette
into the cassette lid with the tape side facing out.
Close the cassette lid.

Tune in a program as described in the "LISTENING
TO
THE RADIO
section.

Press the REC button. The PLAY button will lock down
at the same time.

During recording, the sound can be monitored through
the speakers.
The VOLUME,
BASS XPANDER
and
TONE settings will not affect the recording. Adjust them
as desired.

Press the STOP/EJECT
button to stop recording at any
time. When the end of the tape is reached, the tape will
stop automatically.

Beat cancel
switch
(BEAT CANCEL)
When recording
a radio program,
an irritating "whistling"
sound may sometimes
be heard. If this occurs,
select
position 1,2, or3. Leave the switch in the position that gives
the best results.
