tion of the slot is turned off can be removed.
. Do not insert and remove the HDD during startup and quitting procedures.
. You can insert only the HDD supplied with this unit or repaired HDD into the slot. The HDD that has
been used in other LMT-300/200 can not be used.
. You can remove the HDD temporarily with the power of this unit turned off. However, it is required to
put it back to the same slot before the next startup.
About rebuilding
Before replacing HDD, it is required to rebuild the data and administration information stored in the old
HDD to the new HDD (hereafter referred to as "spare HDD"). This procedure is called "Rebuilding".
. The spare HDD is installed in this unit beforehand. The rebuilding process starts automatically immedi-
ately after this unit detects the end of HDD's life.
. After the rebuilding is started and the indicator on the upper portion of the slot of the HDD that reached
the end of its life is turned off, the HDD can be discarded (remove from the slot) (usually it can be
discarded immediately after the rebuilding is started).
. Insert the new spare HDD into the emptied slot after discarding the old HDD. The rebuilding of HDD
that is in the next serious condition starts automatically. In this way, the rebuilding process is performed
effi ciently.
m
. Do not pull out the old HDD from the slot before the indicator turns off.
. Be sure to confi rm the disposal method when picking up this unit or HDD because the stored contents
are the user's property. When discarding the HDD, the user's approval is required.
. Before discarding the HDD, be sure to destroy it physically.
m
. The HDD rebuilding process takes approximately 12 hours.
. The fi lm showing and DCP ingesting can be performed even during the rebuilding process. In this case,
the rebuilding process is interrupted and the time required for rebuilding process is prolonged by just
that time.
