Disconnecting the Spark-plug
Wire
Pull the spark-plug wire off the terminal of the spark plug
(Figure 13 or Figure 14).

Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Check the air
Important: Do not operate the engine without the
air-filter assembly; extreme engine damage will occur.
Note: If the engine is low on power, produces black smoke,
or runs unevenly, the air filter may be clogged.
Cleaning the Prefilter—Models 68034

1. Open the cover of the machine (Figure 15).

2. Remove the screws that secure the cover to the prefilter

3. Remove the prefilter.
4. Clean the prefilter as follows:

Every 50 hours—Clean the air-filter elements (more
frequently if conditions are dusty or sandy).
Every 200 hours—Replace the paper air-filter element
(more frequently if conditions are dusty or sandy).
