4.1 Operation selection Automower
By consecutively pressing the Operation selection
button many times, one can choose between three
different operation modes.
• HOME . Sends the robotic lawnmower to the
charging station. It remains here until another
operation mode is selected. The text Home is shown
in the operation window. When the battery is fully
charged, the robotic lawnmower will not leave the
charging station and begin mowing again until the
operation selection is altered to
AUTO . The standard, automatic operation mode
•
where the robotic lawnmower mows and charges
automatically.
MAN . When mowing secondary areas the MAN
•
setting must be used. If
robotic lawnmower is started when it is out on the
lawn, it will mow until the battery runs out. It will then
stop and the 'Needs manual charging' message will
appear. The robotic lawnmower must then be moved
manually to the charging station and then started
manually after charging. If the robotic lawnmower
charges in the MAN mode, it will fully charge, move
about 20 cm / 8" out of the charging station and then
stop. This indicates that it is charged and ready to
start mowing.
4.2 Operation selection Start Automower
310/315/315X/420/430X/440/450X
When the START button has been pressed the following
operation selections can be selected:
• MAIN AREA . The standard operating mode where
the robotic lawnmower mows and charges
automatically.
SECONDARY AREA . When mowing secondary
•
areas this setting must be used.
If the robotic lawnmower charges in the Secondary
area mode, it will fully charge, drive out about 50
cm / 20" and then stop. This indicates that it is
charged and ready to start mowing. If the main
working area has to be cut after charging, it is
appropriate to switch the operation selection to
area before placing the robotic lawnmower in the
charging station.
OVERRIDE TIMER . Any timer settings made can be

temporarily overridden by selecting Override timer. It
override the timer for 24 h or 3 days.

less than in other parts of the lawn.
The Spot Cutting function is activated with the
START button. You can select how the robotic
lawnmower should continue to work once mowing is
finished by pressing right arrow and then specifying
Main Area or Secondary Area .
4.3 Operation selection Park Automower
310/315/315X/420/430X/440/450X
When the PARK button is pressed the following
operation selections can be chosen.
PARK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE . The robotic
•
lawnmower stays in the charging station until
another operating mode is selected by pressing the
START button.
START AGAIN IN 3 HOURS . The robotic
•
lawnmower stays in the charging station for three
hours and then automatically returns to normal
operation. This operation selection is suitable when
there is a need to pause operation, e.g. for
temporary irrigation or for games on the lawn.
• START WITH NEXT TIMER . The robotic lawnmower
stays in the charging station until the next Timer
setting permits operation. This operation selection is
suitable if one wishes to cancel an ongoing mowing
cycle and allow the robotic lawnmower to stay in the
charging station until the next day. This option is not
displayed if there are no Timer settings.

4.4 Connectivity

You can communicate with your robotic lawnmower
through the mobile application Automower Connect.
Automower Connect is available for your smartphone
and tablet (Apple or Android). With Automower Connect
activated, new icons will be displayed on the robotic
lawnmower's display. For more detailed information, see
Complete Operator's Manual on page 3 .
4.4.1 Automower Connect
Automower Connect is included in Automower
430X/450X and available as accessory for Automower
310/315/420/440.
Automower Connect brings the mower's menu system to
your smartphone, making it easy to read and change the
mower settings remotely. Through this application, you
can receive your Automower's current status and send
commands to the robotic lawnmower from anywhere in
the world. In case of theft, you will get an alarm and be
able to track your mower's position. Some countries do
not support Automower Connect due to region specific
