When your phone has acquired service, the greeting banner will be
displayed along with the date and time. The menu options will be
displayed on the lower half of the screen. This is known as the
standby display or standby mode. While in the standby mode, use
the rocker key to highlight the menu option you wish to select, or
enter a phone number using the keypad.
Power Save mode.
Your Sprint PCS Phone comes with a Power Save feature that will
be activated automatically if your phone hasn't been able to find a
signal after 15 minutes of searching. While this feature is active, the
phone's battery charge is conserved. The phone will automatically
check for a signal periodically. To manually prompt the phone to
check for a signal, press any key. A "Power Save" message on the
display will let you know when the phone is operating in Power Save
mode.
