    Step 4 Using the touch panel Your camcorder has operation buttons on the LCD screen. Touch the LCD panel directly to operate each function. In CAMERA or VCR mode (1) Install the battery pack, or connect the AC power adaptor for the power supply (p. 18 to 23).

Your camcorder starts recording. The REC indicator appears. The camera recording lamp located on the front of your camcorder lights up.

The indicator may not be correct, depending on the conditions in which you are recording. When you close the LCD panel and open it again, it takes about one minute for the correct remaining battery time in minutes to be displayed.

    Recording a picture Shooting backlit subjects – BACK LIGHT When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a light background, use the backlight function.
