SPARK PLUG

REMOVAL
1) Disconnect ignition coil coupler.
2) Remove ignition coil bolt, and then pull out ignition coil.
3) Remove spark plug.
INSPECTION
CAUTION:
When servicing the iridium spark plugs (slender center
electrode type plugs), do not touch the center electrode
to avoid damage to it. The electrode is not strong enough
against mechanical force as it is slender and its material
is not mechanically tough.
Inspect them for:
D Electrode wear
D Carbon deposits
D Insulator damage
If any abnormality is found, adjust air gap, clean with spark plug
cleaner or replace them with specified new plugs.
For iridium spark plugs, replace them with new ones.
Spark plug type:
Spark plug air gap "a":
NOTE:
NGK IFR6J11 highly recommended for better engine starting
performance under –25_C (–13_F).
