7: Adjusting the speaker
levels and balance
(TEST TONE)
You can adjust the speaker levels and balance
while listening to the test tone from your
listening position.
Tip
The receiver employs a test tone with a frequency
centered at 800 Hz.

Press TEST TONE.
"T. TONE" appears on the display.
The test tone is output from each speaker
in sequence as follows:

Adjust the front speaker
balance using the "FRT BAL"
parameter (page 26).

Press SUB WOOFER LEVEL +/–
repeatedly to adjust the sub
woofer level.
Initial setting: 0 dB
You can adjust from –10 dB to +10 dB in
1 dB step.
Tips
• To adjust the level of all speakers at the same
time, press MASTER VOL +/–. You can also
use MASTER VOLUME on the receiver.
• The adjusted value are shown on the display
during adjustment.

Press TEST TONE again.
The test tone turns off.
Note
The test tone does not work when ANALOG
DIRECT is selected.
