IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
I Please read all instructions.
I To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put
can opener, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
I Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.
I Turn unit off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.

I Keep the cord away from the Knife Sharpener (Models EC43
and EC43B only) and the path of the knife being sharpened to
prevent fire or shock hazard.
I The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or
injury.
I Do not use outdoors.
I Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch
hot surfaces.
I Do not open pressurized (aerosol type) cans.
I Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.
I Do not operate this appliance in the presence of explosive
and/or flammable fumes.
I This appliance is intended for household use only and not for
commercial or industrial use.
