Cautions for handling magnetic card
In order to secure the long-time performance of card reader, and to ensure correct recording
and writing of program, please observe the following suggestions:
1. Do not fold the card or damage the magnetic side.
2. To pick up the card, hold the card edge by the fingertips so that the magnetic side of
the card does not become stained by sweat, etc.
3. Keep card in a paper envelope to avoid soiling and keep it in the card case.
4. Keep the card case away from magnetic fields.
5. If the magnetic side is soiled by dust, oil or fat, wipe it off with a cloth soaked with
anhydrous alcohol, etc.
6. The cloth should be soft and free from loose fiber. Be careful not to damage the
magnetic side.
6. Do not match two magnetic sides together.
(A special cleaning card is available for cleaning of magnetic card and the head of card
reader.)
