REMOVING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
WARNING
Securely support the motorcycle so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand so
that the front wheel is elevated.
2. Loosen:
S upper bracket pinch bolt 1
S cap bolt 2
S lower bracket pinch bolt 3
WARNING
Before loosening the upper and lower
bracket pinch bolts, support the front fork
leg.
3. Remove:
S front fork leg

INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:
S front fork leg
Temporarily tighten the upper and lower
bracket pinch bolts.
NOTE:
Make sure that the inner fork tube is flush
with the top of the handlebar holder.
2. Tighten:
S lower bracket pinch bolt 1
S cap bolt 2
S upper bracket pinch bolt 3
Lower bracket pinch bolt
Cap bolt
Upper bracket pinch bolt
WARNING
Make sure that the brake hoses are routed
properly.

23 Nm (2.3 mSkg)
30 Nm (3.0 mSkg)
