Inserting/Removing the Battery

Insert a fully charged Battery Pack LP-E12 into the camera.
Insertion
You cannot use batteries other than the Battery Pack LP-E12.

After opening the battery compartment cover, be careful not to swing it back

any further. Otherwise, the hinge may break.

Slide the battery compartment
cover to open it.

Insert the battery.

Insert the end with the electrical

contacts.
Insert the battery until it locks in place.

Close the cover.
Slide the cover until it snaps shut.
