Component video cables come in sets of three and are for use with video devices with component video output. (ColorStream ® is Toshiba’s brand of component video.) These cables are typically color-coded red, green, and blue. Separate audio cables are required for a complete connection.

Chapter 5: Setting up your TV When you first turn on or reset the TV, the Initial Setup window will appear. In the Menu Language field, press C or c to select your preferred language and press Next, the Local Time Setting window will appear. Chapter 6: Basic features This feature allows you to choose how tuning will be handled for analog and digital channels when the TV is in Antenna mode. Note: To use this feature, ANT/CABLE In must be set to Antenna (- page 35). The channel tuning mode has three options.
™ The Channel Browser provides an easy navigation interface for all your channels and inputs. This feature allows you to: •Navigate the contents of all of your inputs. •Keep a list of your favorite channels. •Keep a history of the last 32 channels or inputs viewed.

The Channel Return feature allows you to switch between two channels without entering an actual channel number each time. This feature also works for external inputs. Select the first channel you want to view. Select a second channel using the Channel Number buttons (and the dash (=) button if needed).
From the SETUP menu, highlight TV Settings and press Press b or B to select Closed Captions Settings and press Press b or B to select Closed Captions and press C or c to select On. Note: If Closed Captions is set to Off, Analog CC Mode and Digital CC Settings will be grayed out.
A PIN code is necessary for some menus. Note: Parental Control and Locks menu is grayed out if no PIN has been set. From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight PIN Setting and press . A new screen will display. Press the number buttons to enter a four-digit number.
• The additional rating system is not designed, transmitted, or controlled by the TV or Toshiba, nor is the availability of an additional rating system determined or controlled by Toshiba. Similarly, the rating of programs in an additional rating system is not determined, transmitted, or controlled by the TV or Toshiba.
Note: • If you place an “5” in the box next to “Rated “None””, programs rated “None” or “Not Rated” will be blocked; however, programs that do not provide any rating information will not be blocked. • To display the rating of the program you are watching, press on the remote control.
You can use the Network Lock feature to prevent the Web browser from launching. When this feature is set to On, PIN input will be necessary to use Widgets, VUDU or YouTube. From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Parental Control and Locks and press Enter your four-digit PIN code.
This feature uses CEC technology and allows you to control Toshiba REGZA-LINK ® compatible devices with the TV remote control via HDMI connection. When Enable REGZA-LINK in the REGZA-LINK Setup menu is set to On, the following REGZA-LINK functions will be enabled.
With your TV’s remote control, you can adjust or mute the sound volume of your amplifier. First, set the MODE SELECT switch to TV. •z Z adjust the volume level. • turns off the sound. MUTE From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight REGZA-LINK Setup and press Press B or b to highlight Speaker Preference.
This menu consists of the following items (new HDMI capabilities) and will be grayed out on non-HDMI inputs. Some HDMI legacy sources may not work properly with your HDMI TV, please try setting the following options (Content Type and INSTAPORT Adjusting these settings should allow your HDMI legacy source to operate properly with your TV.
You can view an image from a PC on the TV screen. When a PC is connected to the TV's PC IN terminal, you can use the PC Settings feature to make adjustments to the image. If the edges of the picture are cut off, readjust the Horizontal Position and Vertical Position.
You can set the on timer to automatically turn on the TV to a preset channel or input at a preset time. From the APPLICATIONS menu, highlight On Timer and press Press B or b to select Enable On Timer, and then press C or c to select On.
From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Blue Screen. Press C or c to select On, and press You can set the illumination mode of the TOSHIBA logo located on the front panel to On or Off. From the PREFERENCES menu, highlight TOSHIBA Illumination.

Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls You can view many program formats in a variety of picture sizes—Native, 4:3, Full, TheaterWide 1, TheaterWide 2, TheaterWide 3, Normal and Dot by Dot. Note: The “picture size” illustrations are examples only. The format of the image (in any of the picture sizes) will vary depending on the format of the signal you are currently watching.

This feature individually enables/disables the Red, Green, and Blue components of the picture to allow for more accurate adjustment of each color. From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press Press B or b to select Expert Mode, and then press Press B or b to select either Red, Green or Blue.
When the Auto Brightness Sensor feature is set to On, the TV will automatically optimize the backlighting levels to suit ambient light conditions. From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press Press B or b to select Auto Brightness Sensor Settings and press Press B or b to highlight Auto Brightness Sensor.
From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press Press B or b to select Color Temperature and press Press B or b to highlight Color Temperature. Press C or c to adjust the level.
