Cautions on Operation
Before using this Kettle, please read those cautions on safety and operation carefully for proper use
and prevent any injury to yourself or others:
1. Please read all the instructions before using the kettle and save this manual for future need.
2. Do not modify the Kettle.
3. Do not repair the Kettle by yourself. Repair or disassembly must be carried out by an authorized
repair person(s) only.
4. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the Kettle
corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and do
not use the kettle.
5. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
6. Do not spill water on the power base stand.
7. Do not touch the electrical contacts on the power base.
8. Do not place the kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
9. Do not operate the kettle when it is empty, to avoid damaging the heating element.
10. Use the kettle on a firm, flat surface that is out of the reach of children.
11. Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water.
12. Avoid contact with steam from the spout when water is boiling or just after the kettle has been
switched off.
13. Check the Kettle regularly for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the Kettle should not be
used.
14. Do not use the Kettle if the power cord and/or plug are damaged or if the power socket is loose. If
the cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician or service agent.
15. Always pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.
16. Be careful when opening the lid when the kettle is hot.
17. This Kettle is not intended for use by the following people ;( including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning usage of the Kettle by a person responsible for
their safety.
18. Do not allow children to play with the Kettle.
19. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handle only.
20. Insert the plug firmly, clean dirt and dust on the plug regularly.
21. Do not damage, modify, forcibly bend, pull hard, twist, or bind the power cord. Do not place heavy
objects on the cord or pinch the cord, or heating the cord.
22. When removing the plug, do not pull the cord, make sure to take hold of the plug to pull out.
23. Do not use the kettle or power base for other than intended use. The kettle must only be used with
the power base provided.
24. Keep the exposed power cord as short as possible. Wind excess cord into the base.
25. Use extreme caution when using the Kettle containing hot water.
26. The kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
27. Do not use accessory attachments that are not recommended by the Kettle manufacturer.
28. Unplug the kettle when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool before cleaning.
29. Do not overfill the kettle.
