  • Page 9 Read the safety instructions in the "Precautions" section before use. To use your phone, you must insert a valid SIM card supplied by your GSM operator or retailer. The SIM card contains your subscription, your mobile number, and a memory in which you can store phone numbers and messages (see “Phonebooks”...

    All operations described in this chapter require that you have selected the relevant Phonebook, whether on the SIM card or in the phone. This chapter describes how to manage phonebooks. Please refer to “Calls and messages” page 42 for further information on how to call numbers and send messages.

    Phonebook menu allows you to select one of the two available phonebooks: the one on your SIM card or the one in your phone. When entering new names in the Phonebook, they will be added to the phonebook selected in this menu.     The "Own number" item that appears in the phonebook should contain your own phone number(s). If not, we advise you to enter your mobile number(s) as well as any other relevant information. Although all its fields can be empty, the "Own number" item cannot be deleted. Once you have stored names in your phonebook, press to access the Phonebook.
