ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: Prior to assembly and
adjustment, always turn tool off and
disconnect tool from power source
before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or
accessories. Before reconnecting the
tool, depress and release the trigger
switch to ensure that the tool is off.
Attaching side handle
Screw the side handle (g) tightly into one of the
holes (h) on either side of the gear case.

1. Place the angle grinder on a table, spindle up.

2. Release the clamping lock (l) and hold the guard
(e) over the tool as shown.

4. Press the guard down and rotate it to the
required position.

bytightening the screw (o).

OPERATION

Trigger switch (Fig. 3)
attachments or accessories. Before
reconnecting the tool, depress and
release the trigger switch to ensure
that the tool is off.
CAUTION: Guards must be used with
this grinder.
CAUTION: If the guard cannot be
tightened by the adjusting clamp, do
not use the tool. To reduce the risk of
personal injury, take the tool and guard
to a service center to repair or replace
the guard.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of
damage to the tool, do not tighten the
adjusting screw with the clamp lever
in the open position. Undetectable
damage to the guard or the mounting
hub may result.
WARNING: To reduce the risk

CAUTION: Hold the side handle and
body of the tool firmly to maintain
control of the tool at start up and during
use and until the wheel or accessory
stops rotating. Make sure the wheel has
come to a complete stop be fore laying
the tool down.
