Connecting Cables
5.3
1. Cables can be routed from the top of bottom of a PDC. This topic uses the dual-input top
cabling scenario as an example. Cable connections for other scenarios are similar.
2. Remove the rodent-proof mesh at the top or cut open the round holes at the bottom based on
the cable routing scenario.
Routing Cables from the Top
1. Remove a number of rodent-
proof meshes at the top of the
PDC based on the number of
cables to be routed.
2. Put the rodent-proof meshes
aside for future use.
Routing Cables from the Bottom
1. In the bottom cable routing
scenario, cut open a number of
round holes at the bottom based
on the number of cables to be
routed.
Connecting Cables
1. Remove the transparent covers of the N bar and input
copper bar, and put the covers aside for future use.
1. Ensure that all circuit breakers, including upstream output circuit
breakers, are switched to OFF before connecting cables.
2. After connecting cables, seal the gaps between cables and cable
inlet and outlet holes using firestop putty.
