Visually checking the magnesium anode and cleaning the storage
tank
▶ Close the shut-off valves and isolate the immersion heater (if used)
from the mains power supply.
▶ Drain the DHW cylinder.
▶ Remove the storage tank cover.

▶ Remove the access port with magnesium anode.

▶ Check the magnesium anode and install a new one if necessary.
▶ Replace the magnesium anode if the diameter is less than 15 mm.
▶ Check the transfer resistance between the protective conductor
connection and the magnesium anode.
▶ Reseal the magnesium anode.

▶ Hose down the inside of the DHW cylinder.

▶ Use a wet/dry vacuum to remove any residue.
If an immersion heater is installed:
▶ When installing, turn the handhole cover until the immersion heater
is pointing downwards.

Hand-tighten the hexagon bolts on the handhole cover.
Then retighten with a ¾turn.
▶ Close the inspection aperture.
▶ Re-commission the DHW cylinder.
