Checking the Tire Pressure

Maintain the air pressure in the front and rear tires at 20 psi
(138 kPa). Check the pressure at the valve stem after every
25 operating hours or yearly, whichever occurs first. Check
the tires when they are cold to get the most accurate
pressure reading.

Draining the Fuel Tank

Danger
In certain conditions, gasoline is extremely
flammable and highly explosive. A fire or
explosion from gasoline can burn you and others
and can damage property.
Drain gasoline from the fuel tank when the
engine is cold. Do this outdoors in an open area.
Wipe up any gasoline that spills.
Never smoke when draining gasoline, and stay
away from an open flame or where a spark may
ignite the gasoline fumes.
1. Park the machine so that the left front side is slightly
lower than the right side to ensure that the fuel tank
drains completely. Disengage the PTO, shift into
neutral, set the parking brake, stop the engine, and
remove the ignition key.
2. Open the hood.
3. Squeeze the ends of the hose clamp together and slide it
up the fuel line toward the fuel tank (Fig. 29).
4. Pull the fuel line off of the filter (Fig. 29) and allow
gasoline to drain into a gas can or drain pan.
Note: Now is the best time to install a new fuel filter
because the fuel tank is empty.
5. Install the fuel line onto the filter. Slide the hose clamp
close to the filter to secure the fuel line and filter.
