1. Start up the system. Since the resource has not been set yet, a system malfunction is detected and the SYSTEM indicator of the FDDR-7000 flashes. However, the resource can be set using the initial setup tool. 2. Start up Windows NT.
The resource setting made here remains saved in the system even after turning off the main power. If the SYSTEM indicator of the FDDR-7000 flashes, it means that the resource has not been set up correctly. Perform from step 4 and set the resource again. (The location of the error is displayed by the 7- segment LED (ND300 and ND301) on the CPU-253 board.
If -h is not entered, the resource setup screen of the FARAD system which is found first, is displayed. The same screen as shown in step 6 of section “5-4-1. When One FDDR-7000 Is Connected to the Host Computer” appears. Perform the procedure described in section 5-4-1 step 7 and later to set the resource of the system.
Connecting the BNC cable On the rear panel of the FDDR-7000, connect the VIDEO OUTPUT 1 connector to the VIDEO INPUT 2 connector with a BNC cable. There is no need to remove any cables connected to the VIDEO INPUT 1, VIDEO OUTPUT 2, VIDEO INPUT 3/OUTPUT 3, and VIDEO INPUT 4/OUTPUT 4 connectors.
Power the FDDR-7000 system on. After the FDDR-7000 system has started, start the host computer. Starting the restoration tool From Windows NT, execute the Restore\Restore.bat batch file on the FDDR-7000 Software Version 1.02 CD-ROM. The restoration tool starts. After about 3 minutes of preparations, a message appears in the terminal software of the host computer asking for a BKFD-7009/7009A specification.
Page 61
The following is a rough guide to the time required for restoration. In a system which provides 75 minutes of recording with 17 BKFD-7009/7009A units, approximately 25 minutes are required to restore the recorded data on both hard disk drives of an entire BKFD-7009/7009A unit. 5-11(E) FDDR-7000 IM...
