Problem
The charging
indicator on the
charging pad
lights up red.
The appliance
does not charge.
Possible cause
Wrong supply unit
used or supply unit
malfunction (e.g. no
original Philips
supply unit is used)
Metal objects are
placed on the pad
during charging
(e.g. paper clip,
coins, etc)
Shaver/pad charge
malfunction (e.g.
either pad or
shaver not working
properly)
The appliance is
not placed
correctly onto the
charging pad.
The wall socket
into which you
have inserted the
supply unit is not
live.

Solution
Use the original Philips
7.5W supply unit.
Remove any metal objects
from the pad.
If the first and second
solution do not solve the
issue, return the appliance
to Customer Care Centre in
your country.
Place the appliance onto
the charging platform of
the charging pad. When
placed correctly, the
charging pad will make a
sound and the charging
indicator on the charging
pad starts flashing white.
Verify whether there is a
power failure and if the
wall socket to which you
connect the charging plate
is live. If you use a wall
socket in a bathroom
cabinet, you may need to
switch on the light to
activate the socket.
