Run-out compensation

!
Observe the following procedure for run-out com-
pensation using the Multiquick clamp unit.
1. Disengage the securing cable at the rim.
2. Perform run-out compensation.
3. Engage the securing cable at the rim.

Make sure that use is made of 4 identical clamps to
ensure correct measurement (measurement error).
!
Use is only to be made of the universal quick-action
clamp for moving run-out compensation.
!
Drive onto the measurement bay before fitting the
clamps.
!
The locking pins must be in position when driving onto
and off the turntables or sliding bases.

The vehicle must be moved on the same level. In
other words, the runway must be flat.

Run-out compensation is called up automatically
with program-driven measurement.
i
Run-out compensation can be performed by pushing
or driving the vehicle slowly

Determination of rolling distance

Ensure adequate rolling distance in front of/behind
the center of the turntable.
i
The rolling distance for all standard wheel and tire
sizes is max. 60°.

Run-out compensation procedure

1. Press <F3> to continue with the program.
? Lighting adjustment is performed.
? A backwards arrow appears on the screen.
2. Push the vehicle back by an approx. 30° wheel rota-
tion (in direction opposite to travel).
? A forwards arrow appears on the screen.
3. Push the vehicle forwards evenly and steadily by an
approx. 60° wheel rotation (in direction of travel).
? The system then determines the run-out.
? The progress of the calculation is displayed on
the screen.
4. Position the vehicle on the turntables again.

Run-out compensation performed successfully.

The approx. 60° wheel rotation should take roughly
3-4 seconds.
i
Do not step between the camera and the measure-
ment plates during measurement.
i
An error message appears on the screen if the vehicle has
been pushed forwards too quickly or too slowly or the
60° rotation has not been fully attained. Run-out compen-
sation must be repeated.
