    Unless otherwise specified, all instructions in this manual assume that you are starting from the Home screen, and using the external keys. To get to the Home screen, you may need to unlock the phone or keypad. For more information, see “Securing Your Phone”...

    Wireless & networks If you purchased your phone at a Verizon Wireless store, it is activated and ready to use. If you received a new phone by mail, it may need to be activated before you can use it. To activate your phone, choose from the following: Visit a Verizon Wireless store.

    Two to three minutes before the battery becomes too low to operate, the empty battery icon will flash and a tone will sound. If you continue to operate the phone without charging, the phone will power off.
