5-2-4. Printer-Dedicated Circuit (IC301)

A printer-dedicated circuit (IC301) is assigned to the external memory address space of SOC (IC103).
IC301 has a head control port, DC motor control port, stepping motor control port, 7-bit A/D port, 2-bit
D/A port, and 24-bit general-purpose I/O port. IC301 also generates a 4-bit chip select signal from the
upper address bus of CPU. There are two external clock input terminals. One terminal is used for the
operating clock of a system. The other terminal is used for a head clock during print. A clock of 100
MHz generated from a 20 MHz oscillator (X301) and PLL circuit (IC303) is input as an operating clock.
Also, the clock generated from a 33 MHz oscillator (X302) is input for a head clock.
