About the screen saver
If you pause a picture of a DVD video disc and leave it
still for a long while, the screen saver of the player
automatically appears (when "Screen Saver" is set to
"On"
). To turn off the screen saver, press the
40
(PLAY) (or PLAY on the remote control) button.
Automatic Power Off function
If the player is stopped, or the screen saver is engaged
for approximately 20 minutes, the player will
automatically turn itself off.
About the LCD
• Although the LCD incorporates high precision
technology in its design, please understand that
there may be slight pixel breakup or stray light
emissions of 0.01% or less.
• The fluorescent tube which illuminates the panel
from the inside will deteriorate with use. (The
standard life length is about 10,000 hours of
continuous use at normal temperature.) When the
LCD becomes dim, flickers, or does not illuminate,
contact your dealer for replacement.
If the cover will not open
Open the cover manually as shown below when it is
locked by power failure or other causes.
Bottom of the
player
Slide the pin in the arrow's
direction using a slender
object with a fine tip.
Hold function
The buttons on the player and remote control can be
locked, so that you can avoid unintended operation
while carrying the player.
Press and hold RETURN on the player for longer than
approximately 2 seconds.
RETURN
The buttons are locked.
HOLD
To release the buttons, press and hold RETURN on the
player for longer than approximately 2 seconds.
Notes
• When you lock or release the buttons, the POWER/CHG
indicator flashes three times.
• If a button is pressed while it is locked, the POWER/CHG
indicator will flash rapidly.
